Veri is designed for anyone who wants to improve their wellbeing by understanding how their body reacts to the food they eat.*
Food is fuel. It has a significant role in our lives, but most of us don't eat optimally for our bodies. With Veri, you get instant feedback on your meals from your glucose, giving you an outlook of how the food you eat, exercise, and sleep all affect your metabolism daily. You can use Veri to discover the right foods for you by comparing different meals and diets.

Veri is powered by continuous glucose monitors (CGM)*. The invasive sensor measures your glucose levels from your blood through a flexible filament.
To get a glucose reading, you press Scan on your Veri app and place your iPhone near the sensor. The sensor can monitor automatically your glucose levels up to eight hours from your last reading.
When you get started with Veri, you can apply the sensor on your arm in just a few minutes with the help of the Veri app. To activate a new sensor, you must initialize the sensor by scanning it with the Veri app. This starts a one hour calibration period, after which you can begin monitoring your glucose with Veri.
*The sensor we use is Abbott FreeStyle Libre. The Veri app supports only this sensor at this moment. The sensor is waterproof and has a 14-day wear time, and you can shower or go to the sauna during the wear time. Veri and Abbott FreeStyle Libre are not dependent upon one another to function, but you will need the sensor to collect blood sugar data.
We recommend starting with 2–3 months of continuous tracking.
Your choices will become more accurate the more you track and measure, paving the way for better self-reliance and understanding of your wellbeing.
Most of our users can reassess their current habits within just a few days of use by seeing the body’s glucose response for the first time –while some use Veri as a tool to optimise their decision-making for the longer-term. This can be massively helpful to reach your goals.
Blood glucose represents the sugar concentration in your blood. It is a basic fuel source for all vital functions of the body and enables your body to move, the brain to think, and the heart to beat.
When you eat, your body digests carbohydrates from food into glucose, causing your glucose levels to increase. A large increase can be damaging to your health. To maintain steady levels of glucose, your pancreas produces insulin, which helps store the extra glucose into muscles or fat. In a healthy person, this process happens efficiently, with glucose returning back to optimal levels after two hours.
Your glucose response can vary significantly depending on what you eat and when you eat. Highly processed foods that have more simple carbohydrates and less healthy fiber are bad for your health. These foods result in a greater and more rapid increase in blood glucose levels.
What can we learn by inspecting this process? If we can monitor our glucose levels in real-time, we gain a deep understanding of how our body responds to different foods and lifestyle factors, like sleep and exercise. We’ll find meals that drive our glucose far too high –for example, we can discover foods that are full of hidden sugars without any real nutritive value. We’ll see how our metabolism is individually unique, and better understand that there are no one-size-fits-all diets. We’ll learn how positively impactful exercise is for our metabolism and glucose response.
Here at Veri, we are using continuous glucose monitoring as a way for us to discover real healthy eating as it relates to our unique metabolism, and thus maintain optimal wellbeing. Simply put, we’re here to help you live and feel your best.
You need an iPhone 7 or newer, or an Android device with NFC connection, Android 5.0 or newer, and access to Google Play Store. Ensure to have your NFC enabled to be able to scan the sensor.
We do not work on the following phones:
- Samsung Galaxy S6
- Ulefone Armor 7
- Ulefone Armor X7 Pro
- Any Huawei phone
The sensor can be worn in the shower and while swimming. If you're swimming for longer than 30 minutes, or deeper than 3ft, or in saltwater, it is recommended to wear waterproof tape on top of the sensor.
The sensor is carefully removed from the skin after 14 days. It can be peeled off easily (like a sticker or bandaid) and then be disposed of in the bin (mixed waste).
The removal of the sensor feels similar to pulling off a regular bandaid.
You can check by scanning with the Veri app and simply hovering your phone over the sensor. If the sensor does not work for some reason, the Veri app will display an error message or give a glucose reading value of 0.
You can contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you encounter any issues.
Each purchase comes with everything needed to get started measuring your blood sugar. This includes 14-day Abbott FreeStyle Libre CGM sensor(s), Veri patches, the sensor applicator, and access to the Veri application.

A Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) is a small sensor used to measure blood sugar levels in the body throughout the day.
The sensor gets applied to the back of the upper arm. It translates the glucose measurements into dynamic data to show glucose direction and rate of change on your smartphone.
The sensor should be used according to its directions and labeling.
The CGM sensor is roughly the size of two stacked quarters (height: 5mm / 0.19 Inches, diameter: 35mm / 1.37 Inches).
The sensor is placed on the back of the upper arm with a disposable applicator.
When the sensor is placed under the skin, a small (5 mm) sterile thread is pressed, which is held in place by a small skin-catching pad. See how it's done here.
Installing the sensor can feel like a quick pinch, but most of our customers do not feel a thing. It is important to be assertive and 'just do it' when first putting the sensor on, to ensure you get the best possible experience.
In the study by Abbott Diabetes Care, 93.4% of the patients in the study (n = 30) completely agreed or agreed with the statement that the use of the sensor did not cause discomfort under the skin.
There's a tiny rubbery subcutaneous part of the sensor.
The thickness of the part is less than 0.4 mm (for comparison, it should be said that 1 mm already requires many human hairs) and it only penetrates the tissue by about 5 mm, so most people don't feel the sensor at all.
The sleek design of the sensor and its placement on the body should not have much impact when doing most sports or activities.
We always recommend using the provided patch to protect the sensor.
During contact sports and other vigorous activities where the sensor is at risk of being dislocated, we recommend using extra protection on top.
The sensor can only be used on the back of the upper arm.
The sensor automatically measures the glucose level once a minute and stores the values every 15 minutes for eight hours. With each scan, the sensor automatically transmits eight hours of data to the Veri app on your smartphone.
